Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RedBTC AI API service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

RedBTC AI provides an OpenAI-compatible API gateway that proxies requests to upstream Codex AI models. The Service includes chat completions, responses, image generation, and model listing endpoints.

3. API Keys and Authentication

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. All activity performed using your API key is your responsibility. Report compromised keys immediately to [email protected].

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate illegal content, hate speech, harassment, or violence
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
Reverse engineer or extract the underlying service infrastructure
Upload or transmit malware, spam, or malicious code

5. Rate Limits and Fair Use

The Service enforces per-account concurrency limits and global rate limits. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that exceed reasonable usage patterns or attempt to degrade service for other users.

6. Payment and Billing

Usage is metered per token. Billing details are visible in your admin dashboard. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

RedBTC AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the preceding 3 months.

9. Data Policy

By default, prompts and completions are processed in memory and not logged. If you enable request logging, content is stored for the duration specified in your settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your API keys are revoked and account data may be deleted per our data retention policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 14 days' notice via our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
